Our Story

How we got here

Our journey began at London Business School, where an easy friendship slowly became something more. Between studying, long chats, and walks to Millennium Bridge, we found comfort in each other during one of the busiest chapters of our lives.

Since then, we have travelled the world together, from Europe to Patagonia, Egypt, New York, & beyond. Travel became one of the ways we connect most deeply: curious, adventurous, and always happiest when side by side.

On paper, we may seem like opposites: one bubbly and all over the place, the other calm, grounded, and quietly confident. But somehow, it just works.

Through it all, the best part has stayed the same: we are still best friends.

Things to Do in India

Most of you are travelling a long way — so why come just for the wedding? Here's a relaxed week-long itinerary that lands you in Delhi, takes in the Taj Mahal at Agra, and winds through Jaipur before the celebrations begin. Treat it as a starting point, not a rulebook.

Day
1
Arrive
Delhi
Land in Delhi & ease in
Fly into Indira Gandhi International (DEL). Check in, beat the jet lag with a gentle first day, and get your first taste of the city.
  • Humayun's Tomb — a serene Mughal garden tomb and UNESCO site
  • India Gate & the grand avenues of Lutyens' Delhi
  • Dinner at a classic like Bukhara or a rooftop in Connaught Place
Tip: Pre-arrange an airport pickup through your hotel and grab a local SIM/eSIM on arrival.
Day
2
Explore
Delhi
Old Delhi sights & wedding shopping
Spend the morning sightseeing, then dedicate the afternoon to shopping for Indian outfits — you'll want them for Haldi (yellow), the Sangeet (formal), and the wedding.
  • Morning: Red Fort, Jama Masjid, and a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk
  • Qutub Minar or Akshardham Temple if time allows
  • Shopping: Chandni Chowk & Karol Bagh for traditional wear; Khan Market, Dilli Haat, or Sarojini Nagar for variety and tailoring
Tip: Many tailors can stitch a custom outfit in 24–48 hours — buy early on Day 2 so it's ready before you leave Delhi.
Day
3
Day Trip
Agra
The Taj Mahal at Agra
Make the journey to Agra to see one of the wonders of the world. The fast Gatimaan/Vande Bharat trains or a private car via the Yamuna Expressway both work well (roughly 3–4 hours each way).
  • Sunrise or early-morning entry to the Taj Mahal for the best light and smaller crowds
  • Agra Fort — a magnificent red-sandstone complex nearby
  • Optional: Mehtab Bagh for a postcard view of the Taj across the river at sunset
Tip: You can do Agra as a long day trip from Delhi, or stay overnight in Agra and continue to Jaipur the next morning to form the classic "Golden Triangle" loop.
Day
4
Relax
Jaipur
Roam the Pink City
Travel on to Jaipur and take a relaxed day to explore at your own pace. No rush — the celebrations begin tomorrow.
  • Amber (Amer) Fort and the Jal Mahal water palace
  • Hawa Mahal, City Palace, and Jantar Mantar in the old city
  • Shop Johari & Bapu Bazaar for jewellery, textiles, and juttis; pause for chai and a thali lunch
Tip: Use this day to pick up any last-minute outfit pieces, accessories, or bangles you couldn't find in Delhi.
Day
5
8 Dec
Jaipur
Check in & the celebrations begin
Today's the day! Check into Indana Palace Jaipur, settle in, and join us for the Welcome Lunch at 1:00 PM on the Grand Lawn. The festivities run through the evening of the 9th.
  • Welcome Lunch — 1:00 PM, Grand Lawn (ideally wear green)
  • Reception & Sangeet — that evening in the Ballroom
  • See the full running order on the Schedule page
Tip: Accommodation details are covered — see the FAQs for what's included.
Day
6
9 Dec
Jaipur
Haldi by day, wedding by night
The big one. Things kick off with the Haldi by the pool — turmeric, laughter, and a guaranteed mess (wear yellow, and nothing precious). Then we trade the splashes for sparkle: the wedding on the back lawn under the stars, followed by dinner and dancing well into the night.
  • Haldi — late morning, poolside, all the colour
  • A few hours to rest, refresh, and dress your absolute best
  • The wedding & the party — the night you'll be talking about for years
Tip: Pace yourself and stay hydrated — it's a long, joyful day. Comfortable shoes for the dance floor are never a bad idea.
Day
7
10 Dec
Onward
Breakfast, check out & choose your own adventure
Join us one last time for a relaxed farewell breakfast at the hotel before check-out. Then follow your heart: head home with full memory cards and a sore-from-dancing everything, keep exploring incredible India, or hop a flight onward to Southeast Asia while you're already this far from home.
  • Farewell breakfast at the hotel, then check out
  • Fly home — direct connections via Delhi or Mumbai
  • Stay in India — Udaipur's lakes, Goa's beaches, Kerala's backwaters, or the Golden Temple in Amritsar
  • Go further — Thailand, Vietnam, Bali, or Singapore are an easy hop away
Tip: Whatever you choose, thank you for celebrating with us — it meant the world to have you here.

This is just a suggestion — stay longer, add Udaipur or Goa, or simply slow down. We are glad you are making the journey.

FAQs

Wedding Weekend
Plan to arrive by the morning of Tuesday, 8 December so you're settled in time for the Welcome Lunch at 1:00 PM. Your stay at Indana Palace is hosted on the nights of the 8th and 9th. Many guests come a few days early to explore — see the Things to Do page for ideas.
Everything takes place at Indana Palace Jaipur — across the Grand Lawn, the Grand Ballroom, the poolside, and the dining hall. The full running order is on the Schedule page.
A bit of both. The Welcome Lunch, Haldi, and Wedding Ceremony are outdoors (the lawns and poolside), while the Reception & Sangeet is indoors in the Grand Ballroom. December evenings turn cool, so bring a light layer for the outdoor events.
Absolutely — and plenty of it. Every event includes food, from a Rajasthani welcome lunch to lavish dinners, with generous vegetarian options throughout. Come hungry.
Just let us know in advance and we'll take care of it — Indian cuisine offers loads of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Reach out to [contact name / WhatsApp] with anything we should flag to the kitchen.
Yes, please do — we'd love to see the weekend through your eyes! Share and tag your photos with [#YourHashtag]. We'll also have a professional photographer, and we may ask for a few phones-down moments during the ceremonies so everyone can be fully present.
We completely understand — life happens. Please let us know as soon as you can at [contact name / phone / WhatsApp] so we can adjust arrangements. You'll be dearly missed.
For anything at all, reach out to [contact name] at [phone / WhatsApp / email]. We're always happy to help.
Travel & Stay
Most non-Indian passport holders do. Many nationalities are eligible for India's convenient e-Visa, applied for online before you travel at the official portal (indianvisaonline.gov.in). Travellers with an OCI card don't need one. Apply around 3–4 weeks ahead, and always confirm the latest requirements for your nationality.
You can fly directly into Jaipur, or into Delhi and continue by a short domestic flight, train, or car. If you're making a trip of it, the Things to Do page lays out a relaxed route through Delhi and Agra before Jaipur.
Jaipur International Airport (JAI) is closest to the venue. Many international guests route through Delhi (DEL) or Mumbai (BOM) and take a quick onward flight or train to Jaipur.
Indana Palace is roughly [30–40 minutes] from Jaipur airport. [We'll arrange airport transfers — details to follow / Please book a hotel car, prepaid taxi, or an Uber or Ola.] Share your arrival details with us and we'll help coordinate.
With us! Accommodation at Indana Palace Jaipur is hosted for you on the nights of the 8th and 9th of December, so you'll be right where the celebrations are. [Add room-block / booking details, and any guidance for guests who'd like to extend their stay.]
Of course — travelling together is half the fun. Reach out to [contact name / WhatsApp] and we'll happily connect you with other guests [or add you to the guest WhatsApp group].
In cities, Uber and Ola (India's ride-hailing app) are easy and inexpensive, and auto-rickshaws are everywhere. For longer journeys, domestic flights and trains are excellent, and hiring a car with a driver is affordable for day trips. [Add any local recommendations.]
The smoothest option is an eSIM (such as Airalo) set up before you land. Otherwise you can buy a local SIM (Airtel or Jio) on arrival with your passport and visa — activation can take a few hours, so the eSIM is the easier route.
Packing & Comfort
Each event has its own attire guide — green for the Welcome Lunch, your homeland's finest for the Sangeet, yellow for the Haldi, and dress-to-impress for the Wedding. The full guide, with colour palettes, is on the Schedule page. Bring comfortable shoes and a layer for cool evenings.
December in Jaipur is lovely — warm, sunny days around 22–26°C (72–79°F) and cool evenings that can dip to 8–12°C (46–54°F). Pack a shawl or light jacket for the outdoor evening events.
Best not to — stick to bottled or filtered water (there'll be plenty on hand) and skip ice from unknown sources. Bottled water is inexpensive and available everywhere.
Bring any personal prescriptions, a basic stomach / traveller's-tummy remedy, rehydration sachets, sunscreen, hand sanitiser, comfortable footwear, a light jacket for evenings, and a universal adapter (India uses Type C/D/M plugs, 230V). [Add anything else you'd recommend.]
Gifts & Fun
To get you in the spirit, a few of our favourites: Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (the classic), Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! (a wedding in movie form), Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, 2 States, Band Baaja Baaraat, and Monsoon Wedding. Bonus points if you learn a few dance steps for the Sangeet! [Add your own picks.]
Do you have a registry?

Having you travel across the world to celebrate with us is the greatest gift of all — and as is our tradition, your stay is on us. So there's no registry and no obligation whatsoever. If you'd still like to mark the occasion with a contribution toward our next chapter together, we'd be truly touched.
